Siemens EDA’s Questa Verification IQ is a collaborative and data-driven verification solution that revolutionizes the verification process by leveraging analytics, collaboration, and traceability to support verification management, debug, and coverage.

Questa Verification IQ is a powerful verification solution that leverages predictive and prescriptive analytics to speed up the closure process, reduce debug turnaround time, and enhance regression efficiency. With a web-based application framework, Questa Verification IQ enables scalable verification management for teams of any size.

Testplan Author is a collaborative and requirements-driven front-end that enables users to capture the test plan that drives the verification process. It comes equipped with a powerful test plan editor that is tightly integrated with other Questa Verification IQ applications, supports coverage from multiple engines, and seamlessly integrates with ALM tools like Siemens Polarion™.

The Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC) technology used by Testplan Author allows data to be managed within each domain and dynamically available to every domain, ensuring a tight digital thread. By providing complete traceability from requirements to implementation and verification results, it enables safety compliance. The solution is tool-agnostic and can be integrated with other tools like Siemens Teamcenter® and IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next, delivering maximum flexibility.

Regression Navigator is a collaborative front-end to our regression engine, which allows users to view and control regressions in a device and operating system-independent interface. It is tightly integrated with Questa Verification Run Manager (VRM), which enables the collaborative launching of regressions and analyzing results across multiple regressions, projects, and users.

Regression Navigator not only enables the collaborative running of regressions but also provides powerful regression analysis capabilities. By storing all results in a single place, it is possible to gain insights into test results across the history of a project. Analytics can be applied to data to provide information that would be hard to correlate otherwise. Automated bucketing of failures is achieved by analyzing the results of each test in the regression and applying machine learning algorithms to improve debug turnaround time.

Coverage Analyzer is a powerful tool that accelerates coverage closure by applying analytics to the coverage closure problem. It provides team-based collaborative closure by allowing users to share URLs and collaborative exclusions, among other team-based features. Coverage Analyzer improves the understanding of the coverage model and supports code coverage, functional coverage, and testplan coverage.

By applying analytics to visualizations, Coverage Analyzer gives insights into coverage in different dimensions using various tools such as heat maps, distribution graphs, network graphs, and expression trees. Customers have reported achieving 3-5 times faster closure with Coverage Analyzer compared to structural-based coverage analysis tools.

Verification Insight is a powerful project metric dashboard tool that captures valuable verification data that would normally be lost in many user environments. This data can be viewed in customizable dashboards with various widgets. While Verification Insight is integrated with other Questa Verification IQ applications, it can also be used as a standalone tool. It provides visualizations and insights into verification processes, utilizing trending data, gauges, and cross analytics to determine what happened and why.

With its ability to store data throughout the verification process and across multiple projects, Verification Insight offers historical data management features. This enables predictive and prescriptive analytics using machine learning to be applied, accelerating and improving the verification process.
