This year, in a series of blog entries concentrating on the most notable new features and improvements, we’re diving deep into everything that’s new in the Solid Edge 2023 release. We’ll discuss the most recent computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) improvements in this post that are now included in Solid Edge 2023.
Siemens’ fully integrated CAD/CAM solutions in Solid Edge offer strong, automated tools that may transform your manufacturing and make the most of your design data. Multi-Axis Roughing for 5-Axis Machining, a new Rotary Machining Add-on for 4-Axis Machining, Smart Machine Kit Simulation, and many more new manufacturing improvements are included in Solid Edge 2023.
Solid Edge CAM Pro’s new Multi-Axis Roughing for 5-Axis Machining offers quicker and more effective material removal. Your capacity to make shapes, even those that would otherwise be too expensive or perhaps impossible, is improved by a new Rotary Machining Add-on for 4-Axis machining and new Wire EDM features. Simple access to standardised, expertly crafted machine simulation kits is made possible by the Smart Machine Kits collection.
Transform your manufacturing and maximize your design data with powerful, automated tools of Siemens’ fully integrated CAD/CAM solutions in Solid Edge.
With the introduction of Multi-Axis Roughing for 5-Axis Machining in Solid Edge 2023, users may remove material more effectively while spending less time writing CNC programmes and benefiting from smoother toolpaths and faster machining throughput. The newly released Rotary Machining Add-on for 4-Axis machining enhances users’ capacity to produce shapes, even those that were previously impractical. Users are now able to build designs that are expensive or even impossible to create using traditional machining processes thanks to the brand-new, cutting-edge Wire EDM capabilities. The add-on package comes with a sizable database of Wire EDM equipment.
Through the Post Hub, standardised, expertly constructed machine simulation kits are accessible in a convenient collection. The expensive, time-consuming, and custom-built simulation kits are no longer necessary thanks to the Smart Machine Kits library, which is a product add-on.
The user experience has been improved with Post Hub, Siemens’ cloud-based database post-processor database. The Post Hub user experience is enhanced by an extended, contemporary Side Bar that includes Support Resources, Training, and Request Forms. Users have more control over their postprocessor search because to the more responsive Side Bar. Post Hub can now be used as a repository for anything outside postprocessors, such as best practise guides, technical libraries, and much more.
